Rebecca Reichmann
Social Worker OCSWSSW
Rebecca is a compassionate, non-judgemental Social Worker with experience working in Nova Scotia and Ontario. Her own personal experience within the healthcare system as someone with a benign brain tumor (her right eye is closed because of this) drives her ambition to listen and support those requiring counselling services. Her experiences range from working with children to older adults. Rebecca has extensive involvement with the LGBTQ2S+ community, newcomer populations, those struggling with addictions, issues related to domestic violence and abuse, as well as parenting and relationships. Her focus is addressing past and current experiences of trauma and mental health, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, self-image, grief/loss, disAbility and PTSD. Rebecca uses a holistic approach in counselling with a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens to help those cope with the challenges they are facing. She uses various modalities of treatment including talk-therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, and EFT techniques.
